Public Opinion Survey for public policy reform

ALARM has conducted altogether fourteen public opinion surveys for policy reform since the beginning of the URGE Program in 2012. These surveys included public opinion surveys on the performance of the president, the members of parliament, Hluttaw Discussion agenda to land tenure security survey and the democratic change in Myanmar. The last survey was public opinion survey on the democratic change in Myanmar and it was conducted in August and September 2015 in Yangon and Mandalay where about 20% of country population are currently residing. Public opinions on voter turnout rate, the possibility to be a free and fair election and the possible winner of the election could be predicted in the survey.
